Dual forms (also known as upper forms or nail forms) are reusable moulds that allow you to build gel or acrylic nails without templates or tips. You apply the product into the form, place it on the nail and cure. The result: a perfect c-curve, no air bubbles and minimal filing.

How do you use dual forms?

1. Select the correct size dual form for each nail
2. Apply gel, acrylic or polygel to the inside of the form
3. Place the form on the prepared natural nail and press firmly
4. Cure under an LED lamp (60 seconds at a minimum of 48W)
5. Remove the form and file the nail into the desired shape

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between dual forms and nail tips?

With nail tips, you glue a plastic tip onto the nail and build over it. With dual forms, you mould the nail directly into the desired shape, without glue. This creates a thinner, more natural nail with better adhesion.

Are dual forms reusable?

Yes. After use, clean them with a cleanser or acetone. With proper care, they last dozens of treatments.

Which products do I use with dual forms?

Dual forms work with gel (such as Builder Gel), acrylic and PolyGel. Always apply a base coat to the natural nail first for optimal adhesion.
